Objective:  Students will create a math poster for the classroom or school.  The poster will display something that will be used as a resource to Altaqwa College student.
Topic:  Browse through your Math book to find an idea, concept, formula, or term(s) that you can convey in a poster.  Be sure the topic is not too broad or complex to be communicated in your poster.  You must pick a topic that we have covered in class this school year.  Some topics might include, but not limited to:
·         Properties in math
·         Exponents/Scientific notation
·         Slopes/Equations of a line
·         Percents
·         Formulas (area, perimeter, circumference, volume)
·         Inequalities
·         Many more topics
Message/Concept:  Your poster will be displayed in a math board.  Its intention is to help math students gain a better understanding of a topic or concept.  Your poster should be available to help students understand the topic discussed.  The poster could be considered a resource to any secondary student!  ALL information must be 100% accurate.  Double check your math!
Presentation:  Must be done on A3 Paper Size or using Software (print on A3 Paper size).  Try to make your poster unified (easy to follow) and balanced.  Try to create a clever, creative illustration.  Use any type of medium, supplies, textures you like.  Names MUST be written on the back of the poster.
Neatness:  Your project should be attractive, neat, easy to read/follow and colorful.  Make the viewer want to stop and read your poster.
Assessment:  Posters will be hung and assessed by the teacher and other students, using the same rubric sheet.  A final grade will be determined by the teacher.

Pointers about Posters
·         The purpose of any poster is to announce something or sell something.
·         The poster tells readers what they have to gain by following the poster’s advice or suggestions, or at least offers important information.
·         Every poster attempts to gain and hold attention.
·         Posters should be amusing or eye-catching.
·         Posters can use dramatic situations, slogans, a play on words, rhymes, or popular sayings.
·         SIMPLICITY – the best posters are simple and easy to read.  Too many colors, pictures or fancy lettering will detract from the poster’s message.
·         Everything in a poster should work toward its purpose.
·         No part of a poster should overpower another.
Workmanship – this is the overall quality of the poster, including lettering, coloring, pictures, and message.  Quality workmanship results in outstanding posters!

Jangan Remehkan Ucapan Anda

Ø¥ِÙ†َّ رَبَّÙƒَ Ù‡ُÙˆَ Ø£َعْÙ„َÙ…ُ بِÙ…َÙ†ْ ضَÙ„َّ عَÙ†ْ سَبِيلِÙ‡ِ ÙˆَÙ‡ُÙˆَ Ø£َعْÙ„َÙ…ُ بِالْÙ…ُÙ‡ْتَدِينَ
This is Ramadhan. I am fasting.” (Saya seorang muslim. Ini bulan Ramadhan. Saya sedang puasa)
Akhirnya ia hanya bisa berkata: ”Wait, one year… I will explain to you the beauty of Islam…” (tunggulah satu tahun, nanti aku jelaskan padamu indahnya ajaran Islam). Maksudnya ia ingin diberi kesempatan belajar bahasa Inggris dahulu selama setahun, baru nanti ia akan jelaskan secara panjang lebar apa itu sebenarnya ajaran Islam nan indah ini.
Sesudah satu tahun kawan saya inipun memenuhi janjinya.
Maka si orang Indonesiapun bertanya: ”Bagaimana ceritanya Anda sampai memeluk Islam?”
”Saya masuk Islam sejak Anda mengatakan ’I will explain to you the beauty of Islam’…
Jangan remehkan ucapan Anda. Siapa tahu lewat lisan Anda Allah ta’aala akan limpahkan hidayah iman-Islam kepada seseorang…..
