ATCI Term break 3 Portfolio, Academic Year 2014-2015

TERM 3 ASSESSMENT: PORTFOLIO
SECONDARY 1 AND 2
Subjects covered: Islamic Studies, PKN, Mathematics, ICT and English



OBJECTIVE
Students develop their awareness towards social responsibility by conducting 2 (two) activities in the society, individually, as part of achieving the value of Shiddiq, Amanah, Tabligh dan Fathanah.
THEME
‘WE LEARN, WE SHARE, WE ENJOY’
The best person is the one who benefits all human beings (HR. Thabrani)
INSTRUCTION:
  1. Students conduct a social activity within the society INDIVIDUALLY.
  2. The types of activity could cover:
  1. Interview minor workers by asking questions to explore their life, then end by giving them a gift. Example of minor worker: tukang sayur, tukang sampah, kuli bangunan, pengamen jalanan, pedagang di lampu merah, marbot masjid, dll.
  2. Teach (Quran, English, etc.) to children in the Masjid, musholla or neighborhood.
  3. Giving a short lecture in the Masjid or musholla in the neighborhood.
  4. Visit an orphanage or senior house (panti jompo) and interview the people there, then end by giving a gift.
  5. Distribute small memos of Islamic Advises in ‘Car Fee Day’ areas
  1. Documentation must be taken as a physical proof (video, photo, handouts)
  2. Reporting system:
  1. Student develop their report in their personal blogs, supported by videos and photos.
  2. Subject teachers related to this assignment will access their blogs to take the score from March 30th 2015.
  3. Students uploading the report in the early stages of the submission timeline will receive higher points in terms of punctuality.
  4. Students uploading any later than 30th March will not be assessed (NA).

SCORING COMPONENT
For each of the subjects involved in this assignment, the score will cover 50% from the Portfolio component.
Islamic Studies
Islamic content of the activity and the messages learnt supported by a verse from the Al Quran or Hadeeth
PKN
Social content on the life of the people involved in the activity
Mathematics
Punctuality of submission (uploading report on the blog)
ICT
Layout design of the report
English
Language delivery of the report
